Officine Ambrogio Melesi Supports the Restoration of the Alpini Chapel at Pian delle Betulle

Set amid the striking mountain landscape of Pian delle Betulle, in the municipality of Margno, at an altitude of approximately 1,500 metres, the votive chapel of the Morbegno Battalion is a landmark of historical and spiritual significance for the Alpini and the wider Lecco community. Thanks to restoration works carried out in recent years, the chapel has regained its original appearance and continues to serve as a place of remembrance and reflection.

The restoration has respected the original design by Mario Cereghini (Lecco, 1903–Madesimo, 1966), an architect and member of the Alpini whose work was deeply rooted in the landscape and traditions of the mountains. A prominent figure in twentieth-century architecture. More than a restoration project, this initiative is a tribute to the fallen, to the history of the Morbegno Battalion and to the enduring values of solidarity, service and brotherhood that define the Alpini tradition.

The project was made possible through the joint efforts of institutions, associations, private individuals and sponsors, all united by a shared commitment to preserving a site of considerable historical, cultural and spiritual value.
